- Mix oil and flour together in a 4 cup measuring cup.
- Microwave uncovered high 6-7 minutes .
- Stir Roux will be light brown at this time and need to cook 30 -60 seconds longer, to reach dark brown color.
- Add onion and other seasoning to cup return to microwave. Saute on high 3 minute.
