Directions
- Mix cocoa with 2 Tablespoons melted shortening to make chocolate mixture.
- Cream shortening, sugar and eggs well.
- Add vanilla & chocolate mixture.
- Sift dry ingredients and add to the dough alternately with milk.
- Chill dough well.
- Form into 1 inch balls and roll in sifted powdered sugar.
- Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
- Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 10 to 13 minutes.

1/2 cup shortening (ex. Crisco)1 2/3 cups sugar2 eggs1 teaspoon vanilla6 Tablespoons cocoa2 Tablespoons shortening melted2 cups flour2 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1/3 cup milk
